Russian Yekaterinburg submarine has successful tested the RSM-54 Sineva submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) successfully.
Missile was launched by the Delta IV Class Ballistic Missile Submarine belonging to the Russia's Northern naval Fleet. Delta IV Class Submarine has an operational diving depth of 320 meters and maximum diving depth is 400 meters. Submarine is powered by VM-4 pressure water reactors rated at 180 MW each.
Delta IV submarines use D-9RM launch system to launch its payload of 16 RSM-54 Sineva liquid fuel missiles.
The RSM-54 Sineva is a liquid-propellant intercontinental ballistic missile desi9gned to be launched by the submarines. It can carry 4 to 10 nuclear warheads up to a distance of 11500 kilometers
