Israel Aerospace Industries its Gulfstream G550 Eitam AEW&C aircraft to the Peru in response to its requirements of a multi-sensor Sivan surveillance aircraft.
IAI is offering to modify the Gulfstream G550 with help from Peruvian firms to carry the long range Israeli Radar.
Gulfstream G550 Eitam AEW&C aircraft which is also known as Conformal Airborne early Warning aircraft (CAEW) has an endurance of 9 hours at maximum altitude while it is over 185 kilometers away from the base.
It carries 4 AESA radars two of which placed in the nose and tail are S band AESA radars while the other two L-band AESA radars are placed on the sides of the aircraft. These four radars provide 360 degree coverage.
Gulfstream G550 Eitam AEW&C aircraft is already in service with the Israeli air force and Singapore.
