4th prototype of the Russian T-50 PAK FA (Prospective Airborne Complex of Frontline Aviation) 5th generation stealth fighter jet has flown for the first time this wednesday. T-50PAK FA took off from the Komsomolsk-on-Amur factory in Siberia and flew for 40 minutes.
The first prototype of the Russian T-50 PAK FA stealth fighter jet flew on 29 January 2010, second prototype flew in March 2011 while third prototype joined the test program on November 22, 2011.
Statement by the Russian manafacturer Sukhoi said.
"The fourth prototype PAK-FA made its first flight today from the Gagarin factory in Komsomolsk-on-Amur."
"The flight tested the aircraft's overall integrity and its main engines. The aircraft is making a good impression in all phases of the flying program."
