The MQ-4C Triton broad area maritime surveillance (BAMS) unmanned aircraft system (UAS) flew for the first time on May 22, 2013. The MQ-4C Triton is variant of the RQ-4B Global Hawk operated by the Hawk United States Air Force (USAF). 

 The MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft system (UAS) can carry 1,452kg of payload internally and 1,089kgs on external hard points.

The MQ-4C Triton Maritime Surveillance Unmanned Aircraft System  is capable of maritime intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions up to 24 hours at altitudes greater than 15,000 m at a radius of 3,700 km.

The MQ-4C Triton flew for eight minutes flight in restricted airspace, the MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft, controlled by ground-based Navy and Northrop Grumman personnel, reached 20,000 feet altitude.
