May 10th 2012 was the Typhoons last day at RAF Northolt, their temporary home whilst training for Operation Olympic Guardian. They return(ed) in July for the olympics.
ReplyDeleteI was lucky enough to watch the four stationed jets perfom a controlled formation taxi onto Runway 25. Echo 21 screamed into the sky first followed in rapid succession by Echo 22, Echo 23 and Echo 24. I've never witnessed such a thing at close range. It was stunning.
