USS DECATUR (DDG -73) Arleigh Burke class Aegis guided missile destroyer detected and tracked  a Medium Range Ballistic Missile and launched Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) Block 1A interceptor to  successfully intercepted the Ballistic Missile. This Ballistic Missile Defence test was conducted by Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Operational Test Agency.
