Naval LCA-N Tejas will be deployed on the INS Vikramaditya and Vikrant class aircraft carriers. LCA NP-1 is a tandem-seat operational conversion trainer while NP-2 will be single-seat multi-role combat aircraft.

Naval LCA-N Tejas will use ski-jump for take-off and arrested landing for aircraft carrier operations. Naval LCA uses a drooped nose section for better view and strengthened airframe structure for carrier operations.
