M107 .50 BMG is recoil-operated long range anti-materiel rifle which was adopted by the United States Army as Long Range Sniper Rifle. The M107 has max range of  6,812m while its max effective range is  1,829m.

    United States Army choose .50 bmg snipper rifle as Long Range Sniper Rifle.It work great in adverse condition.Great video you share with us.50 bmg

    The article you shared is worth reading and I would also like to say that prior to the Afghanistan war the Army spent about $400,000 per year on sniper equipment.
