US F-35B/C Lightning IIJoint Strike Fighter (JSF) on Taxiway Echo.
 F-35B Lightning II is the short-take off and vertical-landing (STOVL) variant of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF)  which was designed to replace the AV-8B Harrier II. 
 F-35C Lightning II  carrier-based CATOBAR (Catapult Assisted Take Off Barrier Arrested Recovery)  variant of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) developed for the United States Navy (USN)



The United States Marine Corps will induct F-35Bs to replace its F/A-18 Hornet and AV-8B Harrier II fighter jets.
