Pakistan Tests Hatf-VIII Ra’ad Air-Launched Cruise Missile
Pakistan air force has successfully tested the Hatf-VIII Ra’ad ALCM (Air-Launched Cruise Missile). Ra’ad has a range of over 350km and it can be launch from fighter aircrafts of the Pakistan air force. Indigenously designed and developed missile is capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear warheads.

Indian HJT-36 Intermediate Jet Trainer Crashes in Tamilnadu
Indian HJT-36 Sitara Intermediate Jet Trainer has crashed during a routine test flight in the south Indian state of Tamilnadu. Development of the HJT-36 has already suffered delays in the past due to change in engine and past crashes.

UAE F-16 Block 60 Desert Falcons Crash in Italy
F-16 Block 60 aircraft of the United Arab Emirates Air Force has crashed while it was on landing at a NATO air base in Italy. Pilot of the UAE-AF F-16 Block 60 was able to eject from the aircraft safely.
Reports in media claimed that UAE-AF F-16 Block 60 aircraft "veered off the runway after landing."United Arab Emirates Air Force has deployed 12 fighter jets at Decimomannu air base in Italy. UAE-AF contingent comprises of 6 F-16E/F Desert Falcons aircraft and 6 Mirage-2000-9 aircrafts.

Italian Air Force to Use Tornado IDS For Offensive Operations in Libya
Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi has said that Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare) will allow NATO to use 4 of its Panavia Tornado IDS (interdictor/strike) aircrafts to increase the pace of military strikes on targets beyond Moammar Gadhafi's air defence systems.
Until now, Italian Air Force had been only conducting air petrol missions to destroy Libyan early warning radar systems.

Russia Test Fires RSM-54 Sineva SLBM from Delta IV Class Submarine
Russian Yekaterinburg submarine has successful tested the RSM-54 Sineva submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) successfully.
Missile was launched by the Delta IV Class Ballistic Missile Submarine belonging to the Russia's Northern naval Fleet. Delta IV Class Submarine has an operational diving depth of 320 meters and maximum diving depth is 400 meters. Submarine is powered by VM-4 pressure water reactors rated at 180 MW each.
Chinese J-20 Mighty Dragon Fifth Generation Stealth Fighter Aircraft
Chinese J-20 Mighty Dragon is a 5th generation stealth fighter jet powered by twin-engine. It is being developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group for the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF).
J-20 Mighty Dragon flew for the first time on 11th of January 2011 and it is likely to be ready for induction in the PLAAF by 2017 to 2018.

Iran Upgrades its Sukhoi Su-24 Fencer with Laser Guided Bomb
Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force for Operations, General Seyed Mohammad Alavi has said that Iranian scientist has integrated ground attack laser guided bombs with the Sukhoi Su-24 Fencer.
General Seyed Mohammad Alavi said that upgraded Sukhoi Su-24 Fencer has successfully tested these LGBs and was able to hit their targets with extreme accuracy.
Predator Drone Strikes Destroy Multiple Rocket Launcher & SA-8 SAM: Libyan Conflict
USAF has used Predator drone strike to destroy the rocket launcher which was being used against the civilians. Pentagon has confirmed that first Predator drone attack was conducted against the Multiple Rocket Launcher in Misrata.
First Predator drone attack was conducted in the area of Misrata in the early afternoon. Pentagon has yet not released any further information on the subject.
RNZAF Gets Upgraded P-3 Orion Maritime Patrol Aircraft
New Zealand Air Force has received 1st upgraded P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft at Whenuapai airbase. Total of six P-3 Orion aircrafts will be upgraded to increase their reconnaissance capabilities.
This upgrade covers replacement of the navigation and communications systems and improvements to its radar system.
Kandahar Prison Break: An Inside Job
Over 500 prisoners were able to escape from a jail in Afghanistan by using an 1,000-foot-long underground Tunnel. Afghan security forces are calming that this tunnel was gug by the by Taliban militants to free the Taliban inmates from the main prison in Kandahar.
