F-35B Lightning II F-35B Short Takeoff/Vertical Landing (STOVL) of the Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121 at the United States Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
Pentagon and Lockheed Martin has agreed on a deal which covers 71 F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) under low-rate, initial production (LRIP) lot 6 and 7.
Low-rate, initial production LRIP5 puts the per-unit price of conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL) version F-35A at $105 million, Short Takeoff/Vertical Landing (STOVL) version F-35B at $113 million and carrier variant (CV) F-35C at $125 million.
