Russian Air Force's Su-27SM fighter jet.

First Russian Su-27SM flew for the first time on 27 December 2002. The Su-27SM fighter jet has been updated with glass cockpit which consists of 3 color flat-panel displays and a new Head-Up Display (HUD), upgraded N001V radar with phased array antenna and air-to-ground modes.


The first 24 Su-27s were upgraded to the Su-27SM standard end of 2006.
