Russia may sell 18 Su-30K fighter jets to the Belarusian air force after they undergo a upgrade to the Su-30KN version. The Su-30KN upgrade includes new mission computer, AMLCD cockpit displays and upgraded radar.
These upgrades allow the aircraft to use R-77 BVRAAM, X-31P anti-radiation missile (ARM), X-31A sea skimming supersonic antiship missile and X-29T air-to-surface missile and KAB-500 guided bombs.
These Su-30K along with the upgrade package will cost around $150 million a piece to the Belarusian air force which is considered as a real bargain. These 18 Su-30s were originally sold to the Indian Air Force which later replaced them with the Su-30MKI.
