The Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) has received its 2nd Peace Eye Boeing 737 Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft from the United States ahead of schedule. Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) has modified the 2nd Boeing Next-Generation 737-700 commercial aircraft into the AEW&C configuration for ROKAF.
South Korea had signed a deal worth $1.6 billion for the purchase of  four Peace Eye Boeing 737 Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) by 2012. The 1st Peace Eye Boeing 737  AEW&C was delivered to the ROKAF at the Gimhae Air Base.

Third and fourth Eye Boeing 737  AEW&C  are scheduled to be delivered next year. The Boeing 737 AEW&C AEW&C uses fixed, Multi-role Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) radar to provide long range  air-to-air and maritime surveillance capabilities. It is outfitted with 10 mission consoles for track airborne and maritime targets simultaneously.
