Russia Delivers Five MiG-29K to Indian Navy
Russia has delivered second batch of five MiG-29K fighter jets to the Indian Navy. Indian Navy now have total of nine MiG-29K fighter jets which are part of the new "Black Panthers" squadron.
Indian navy plans to deploy MiG-29K on its INS Vikramaditya (former Russian Gorshkov) aircraft carrier. These new MiG-29K offer Indian navy a big jump in capabilities when compared to their current Sea harrier jump jets.

Turkish Army's AH-1F Cobras in an Exercise
Turkish Army received 32 used AH-1P/S Cobras which were powered by a 1,800 shp (1,300 kW) T53-L-703 turboshaft engine and have many new features like composite rotors, flat plate canopy which did not feature armor glass, and iupdated instrument panel for NOE flight; a radar altimeter and improved radios; an AN/APR-39 radar warning receiver.
Indonesia orders 16 T-50 Golden Eagle Jet Trainers
Indonesian Defense Ministry has signed an agreement for the purchase of 16 T-50 Golden Eagle advanced jet trainers to replace Indonesia's BAE Systems Hawk 53s. T-50 Golden Eagle is developed by the South Korean firm of Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) and the American firm of Lockheed Martin. Total deal will be worth $400 million.
This is the first export order for the Total investment in the T-50’s RDT&E program amounted to more than $2 billion: 70% from the Korean government, 17% from KAI, and 13% from Lockheed Martin.

F-16D Block 50+ For Turkish Air Force Unveiled
Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI) has unveiled 1st F-16 D Block 50+ for the Turkish Air Force. Turkish Air Force has placed order for 30 F-16 Block 50+ which will be build in Turkey by the Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc at its facility near Ankara.
Ceremony was attended by the Turkish Defence Minister, Vecdi Gonul; Undersecretary for Defense Industries Murad Bayar; Turkish Air Force Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Abidin Ünal; General Manager of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation Lt. Gen. (Retired) Hayrettin Uzun; and the Chairman of the Board of TAI, Lt. Gen. (Retired) Mehmet Yalçin Kaya.

Swedish Army Ranger Battalion in Arvidsjaur
The Swedish Army Ranger Battalion in Arvidsjaur, have the soldiers started to train on bare ground after the long cold winter. Today it’s the turn of the jaeger platoon battle group to start training. - This is nothing new for the soldiers, who must continually sharpen the interaction and training of the soldiers in the Battle Groups, "said platoon commander, Captain Fred Anderson.

Pakistani P-3C Orion Destroyed in Terrorist Attack
Atleast one P-3 Orion anti submarine and anti surface aircraft has been destroyed while another two has suffered serious damage in a terrorist attack at the PNS Mehran. Pakistan Navy's Naval Special Services Group(SSGN) and Pak Marines are conducting the search and destroy operation against the terrorists.
Total of 14 to 20 terrorists are involved in the attack our which atleast 6 have been killed and another has been captured alive by the Special Operations Forces of Pakistan Navy.

Indian Astra BVRAAM Test Results in Failure
Indian Astra active radar homing Beyond-Visual-Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM) has failed to meet the objectives of the test launch. Astra BVRAAM failed after it was launched from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur in Orissa.
Astra BVRAAM is being developed by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for the Indian LCA aircraft.DRDO officals hvae said that missile failed to completed the test objectives due to “control-related fault” when a manoeuvre was attempted.
