Third prototype of the Russian T-50 PAK FA (Prospective Airborne Complex of Frontline Aviation) fifth generation fighter aircraft performed its first flight on November 22, 2011. The first prototype flew on 29 January 2010 while 2nd prototype joined the test program in March 2011.
Test pilot Sergey Bogdan flew the 3rd prototype of the T-50 PAK FA fighter jet and remained air for about an hour before landing at the KnAAPO runway.

The Indian Air Force has also joined the PAK FA program under the name of Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft (FGFA). The Indian Air Force plans to acquire around 166 single seated and 48 twin-seated FGFAs while Russia is committed to order atleast 200 single seated and 50 twin-seated PAK FAs.
